PACKAGE INFO
**************
The package contains an in-flight refueling gauge that can be installed on any aircraft and allows refueling in the air from any aircraft - in free flight or multiplayer. Check out the demo video:

INSTALLATION
**************
1. Copy the "RefuelingGauge.cab" file (do not unzip the cab file!) to the folder of your aircraft.
2. Open the file and add the following line to your [Window Titles] section:

Window08=Refueling Gauge

3. Scroll down and add the following lines after your last [WindowXX] section (this is will be just above your virtual cockpit sections):

//--------------------------------------------------------
[Window08]
size_mm=1024, 256
window_size= 1.000, 0.333
position=3
background_color=0,0,0
ident=10080
alpha_blend=0.95
gauge00=RefuelingGauge!traffic_info, 0, 0, 172, 220
gauge01=RefuelingGauge!RefuelingGauge, 0, 220, 172, 36

Integration with the "Realistic HUD for the FSX Hornet" by Jivko Rusev and Scott Printz
*****************************************************************
You can integrate the refueling gauge with the "Realistic HUD for the FSX Hornet" (which can also be used with Dino's T-45 and F-14). This is much more convenient as you will be able to see refueling information directly on your HUD and can close the refueling gauge once it is set up. If you already have the Realistic HUD, just copy the file "FA18_HUD_VC_R.cab" provided with this package to your folder and let it overwrite. If you don't have the HUD - you can get it from here: http://www.simviation.com/simviation/?ID=7181

RECOMMENDED ADDONS TO BE USED WITH THIS PACKAGE
********************************************
For a tanker I strongly recommend using the KC-135 with refueling drouge available here:
http://SurClaro/file.php?cm=SEARCH1&fsec=0&fname=KC-135T2.ZIP

USAGE
*******
Open up the gauge with Shift+9. Do not move the gauge window left or right because this may hide the refueling messages that should appear in the center of your screen! You can move the gauge up or down if you prefer. Select an aircraft from the list from which you want to refuel. Note the bearing/altitude/distance to the selected aircraft to intercept it and take a position behind it. As soon as you are at a certain proximity to the aircraft - the refueling will start automatically and you will see a "REFUELING" message flashing in the center of your screen. The fuel level will also start increasing. After the fuel percentage has increased by a certain amount, a message "TRANSFER" will flash, indicating that the fuel is transferred to your aircraft. You will notice this immediately as the aircraft will lose some altitude due to increased weight. The position you need to take is calibrated to the refueling probe of the KC-135 model (from the link above) and allows a certain deviations from it. Please check the reference screenshots to get an idea of what the ideal position is. If you are refueling from a different aircraft you will know that you are in the refueling position when the "REFUELING" message flashes and you need to hold that position. When the tanks are full, you will see a "FULL" message.

OPTIONS
*********
The button "LEVEL 1" indicates a low precision is required to maintain the refueling position. This is the default option and is very useful if you are refueling from any aircraft other than the KC-135. If you are refueling from the KC-135 or if you are very good at flying formation, you can change that to "LEVEL 2", which allows for much smaller deviations from the proper position. The button "MANUAL" indicates that you need to manually select the aircraft you want to refuel from the list. You can change that to "AUTO" in which case the closest aircraft is automatically selected. The button "REFUEL ON" is the master button which enables the refueling process. If you switch it to "REFUEL OFF", the fuel level indication will disappear from your screen and you can use the "TRAFFIC INFO" window as a radar. You can change the filter for the aircraft list from "ALL" to "AIR" or "GRND" in order to see only air or ground targets.

KNOWN ISSUES
***************
FSX allows a fuel transfer of 25% per tank at a time, so the continuous refuel process is simulated until you see the red "TRANSFER" message. Once you see that message, you will actually have the fuel level indicated on the screen (you can check with Shift+Z). This means you have to be careful when you approach at very low fuel levels - until you see the first "TRANSFER" message, you will still have very little fuel.

For some unknown reason the gauge may not add fuel when you are hosting a multiplayer mission - the fuel percentage on the gauge will go up, but there will be no actual transfer of fuel. Again, this issue only occurs for players hosting multiplayer missions. This will not affect other players in a multiplayer mission, nor will it affect any player in a free flight session.
